Mark took grandson “Max” on the Easter egg run around Scunthorpe. They picked up eggs from Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda, before delivering them to sick children in Scunthorpe hospital. 140 bikes took part in the run.

Hunstanton Light Parade - 29 March 2025

Congratulations to Norfolk Wings for yet another excellent Light Parade at Hunstanton
on 29 March 2025.  Trevor and me (Stephen) decided to make it a day trip.  We had been watching the weather forecast for the week and we were pleased to find that Saturday turned out bright and sunny.

We arrived at mid-day and parked up on the Green with all the other Goldwings.  It was quite a good turn out.  We them met up with Doug and Sue, Ian and Sue, Mark and Debbie, Mick and Helen, Martin G, Martin C, and David.  Unfortunately, Sandy and Jayne were unable to attend. but we will see them at our next meeting on 20 April.

The day turned cold and cloudy and the wind picked up so that many of the wings parked on the Green, were taken away so that people could get food and warmth.  We then moved our bikes to the main Car Park around 4.00oclock and then found a nice warm Pub to wait until 6.00pm.

The parade set out dead on 7.00pm and we circled the town about 3 times before we were parked up on the seafront.  The parade route was very well policed and traffic was held back while we circled the town. I'm not sure about how many bikes took part but I estimated more than 60 and they were very well lit to make a great spectacle. Despite the cool of the evening, there were lots of spectators along the route and we did our usual ride and wave to impress the crowd.

Finally, the parade returned to Searles Camp site for a Post-Parade libation, but Trevor and me decided to set straight back home.  That's when the forecast strong winds hit us and we were battered all of the 60 miles home.  However, we finally arrived home safe and sound.

Squires Cafe excursion. March 2025

Mark and Debbie met Sue, Doug, David and Christine Dunn from Borders at Squires Cafe for a catch up. Lots of bikers out. Bit nippy with the cross winds but a nice ride out.
